A Quiet Life was born from a longing, not just to see the world differently, but to feel it differently. To escape the urgency, the noise, and the constant acceleration of modern life, and return to something more essential.

This collection and journey began when I moved to the north of Spain, a region deeply connected to my family’s past, during a period of profound personal transformation. My grandmother was born in a small village in Asturias but had to leave during the Spanish Civil War, seeking refuge in Venezuela in 1958. Decades later, life came full circle. In 2015, my parents and I left Venezuela and returned to Spain, searching once again for stability, safety, and something we could call home. My story is shaped by migration, grief, and generational pain, but also by memory, return, and the quiet longing for peace and belonging.

At the end of 2024, I made the conscious decision to move north. It wasn’t just about changing location but about creating space to understand myself more deeply.

I came searching for a more stable emotional and artistic life. For the first time, I allowed myself to be alone, to face my fears, insecurities, and old wounds with honesty. I wanted to slow down and listen, to heal at my own pace, and to explore the bigger questions that had always lived quietly inside me. Questions about life, meaning, presence, and what it truly means to live peacefully, wherever we may be.

This collection is born from that inquiry. It’s an expression of the landscapes I walked through and the emotional terrain I moved through at the same time. After years of living in different countries and cities, carrying the invisible weight of migration, I longed for a sense of rootedness. The north offered that back to me. A sense of purpose, a quiet rhythm, and a deep feeling of belonging that I hadn’t felt in a very long time.
